Lighting
Use a full spectrum UVB light; this will output good UV rays for calcium absorption so that it can digest its food better. The UVB light should be used for 12-14 hours of ultraviolet lighting. This can be maintained by using a timer.
Temperature
During the day the temperature should be 85-90 degrees. Use a dome lamp to get the basking spot to be between 110-125 degrees. The nighttime temperature should be 65-80 degrees.
Humidity
Humidity should be kept low.
Food
Mainly plants. Crickets may be offered once a week. Mustard & collard greens, broccoli, peas in a pod, apples oranges, pears, peaches, melons, strawberries, raspberries, and bananas. Use for vegetables to every fruit per meal. Offer fruits only 1 of 4 feedings. Feed once a day. Remove excess food.
Water
Shallow dish of water. Water must be changed daily.
Housing
40 gallon tank is minimum. Screen Lid required for air exchange. Desert Habitat. Hiding space, basking spot and cool area needed.

Only one male per enclosure.
