The male was with her for about 4 days about 2 weeks ago. I did not witness any copulations. I removed the male to cool them a little more and was planning on putting them together soon. After seeing that though I put them together again. I have not witnessed any copulations. I think the male is too small though. He is just over 15 months old I would estimate. I wasn't able to find anything bigger for this season.
Thanks,
Brandon
Hi Brandon

It looks like a pre-ovulation swell ( in process of maturing follicules ) . You should see the bump spread further in the snake when you see it , its ovulation. For your male , make sure its a male and try it again because it is prime time to put them together as the follicules will get all "fresh" sperm they can as ovulation occurs.
As for ...

was perched like this on the branches which is really not normal and the swell in her body was right under the basking spot.
Being under the basking spot is 100% directly related with her growing follicules. This means that the rest of the container isint hot enough .If you didint had a warm place , its unlikely that she would pre-ovulate and ovulate , if she still would do it , the chances of getting good eggs are thinner. It is normal for her as she seeks warm temperatures during this process and after. You have to regulate the terrarium so that the cooler isint too cool .
Good luck with it and keep us posted.
